What are the STEAM fields? 

In light of the Valentino DiGiorgio STEAM Scholarship, Val DiGiorgio explains what the STEAM fields and subjects are:

You’ve heard of STEM… but have you heard of the STEAM subjects?  The five components of STEAM are Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics.  (The ‘arts’ referred to in STEAM are of the liberal arts variety, like Psychology and the Humanities subjects.)

Valentino DiGiorgio likes to think of STEAM subjects and fields as the areas that are up and coming.  For generations, innovative ideas have been directly brewed in the creativity of the blend of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics.  In many ways, DiGiorgio views these fields as the future… particularly in terms of startups!
