In Fairfax County, the Madeira School is set for a major expansion. Valentino DiGiorgio, founder of his own STEAM Scholarship, discusses the exciting news:

Thanks to an endorsement from the Fairfax County Planning Commission, students of the Madeira School are in for a fantastic expansion of their school!  Decided by a unanimously positive vote, Madeira’s McLean campus will receive major upgrades — including some STEAM-centric additions!  In particular, the expansion will consist of a brand-new science building, additional on-campus housing options for students and more modernized equestrian facilities.

Madeira School, an all-girls private boarding and day school, has always gravitated towards innovation.  Since being founded in 1906 by Lucy Madeira Wing, the School has fostered an exciting space for girls to truly innovate their thinking.   Now, that academic experience will expand for the Snails in a big way — and Val DiGiorgio is in full support of the decision!

Congratulations to the students of the Madeira School!
