Many people are looking to start their own small businesses, and it has never been easier than it is right now. The internet has made it possible for businesses to connect with clients and customers from anywhere in the world. If you want to become your own boss, there are a lot of options available.

• Blogging or Podcasting. This won’t make you money on its own, but if you hone into a niche, you can gain a following. With an audience, brands will offer sponsorship deals, and you can sell merchandise and additional exclusive content.
• Virtual Assistant. Many other small business owners need help with scheduling, posting on social media, marketing, and general organization. You can get paid to do all of those tasks that they don’t have the time or skillset for.
• Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Consultant. If you are familiar with how Google’s algorithm works, you can advise business owners and help them drive more traffic to their sites. SEO is a huge part of digital marketing that many businesses need help with.
• Sell online classes. If you are knowledgeable about a particular subject and know how to effectively teach others, then you can create video content to teach people that skill. People are willing to pay for courses on just about anything.
• Sell handmade products. If you make art, jewelry, decor, or anything else, you can sell it on online marketplaces without the need for a brick-and-mortar shop.
